David Coldwell
Working from his home studio high in the hills above the village of Marsden in West Yorkshire much of David's work is inspired by the Pennine landscape with the occasional diversion to the coast. He focuses on qualities of light and the effect that this has on land and sea studying the constant changes in atmosphere and mood. Drawing inspiration from isolated farms, wild moorland and deserted beaches, his work aims to capture these atmospheres using a variety of techniques from watercolour to oil and print.
