Sheila Marlborough

Sheila was born and lives in Sussex and attended courses at Brighton Polytechnic and St Ives School of Painting from 1978 - 1985. She had her work shown in the RI at the Mall Galleries, London and in 2002 won the Royal Watercolour Society Open Award at the Bankside Gallery. During this time she taught art to adult students and exhibited her work throughout Sussex and in Cornwall.  From using watercolour, Sheila now paints in acrylic, using collage and mixed media, to extend her love of colour, texture and strong design.  Abstraction plays a part, simplifying the subject to basic shapes, mainly from landscape.
